Fried twinkies?!

Question:

Fried twinkies?

is there any way that i can make twinkies without having a deep fryer? if so, can i please have the recipe? thank you

Answers:
Yeah, if you know how to make the batter, then just use a pan or a small pot and fill it with oil. Just dip the twinkie in the batter and use a tong to place it in the pot. Just because cause the oil is gonna be hot but that should work. This is the reciepe for the batter...
1 cup flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 cup plus 1 tablespoon milk
2 tablespoons sugar
it's pretty much like funnel cake when you just put the batter in the oil. and don't leave it in there too long, it gets burnt

idk but do they taste good fried

get like a soup pot and put oil in it. get it hot and with care but the twinkies in them. when they are down take them out. u dnt need a deep frier 4 that! :)

There is no way to create a fried and battered consistency without a deep fryer. If you are going to eat twinkies then you may as well go for the fat/calories. If you are just asking how to fry them generally - Heat up the oil in the pan until it sizzles, throw them in and do each side about 1 and a half min. That was how I did it when my daughter wanted to try the mix. Oh yes- do a little flour, milk, sugar mix on the outside first- just enough to coat without being goopy - go easy on the milk.

If you have a pan that will hold about 6 cups of oil or water without overflowing, you should be able to deep fry twinkies. Try the website below for the recipe. I know it states only 4 cups of oil, but you want to leave yourself some room for the twinkie to go in without overflowing the oil and burning down your house.
