Question:

What temp. is recomended for baking meet-loaf?

Answers:
Just made some! 350 degrees

350

I always bake my meat loaf at 350 F

325 for an hour

i made one too. i bake mine at 350

For a pound of ground beef cook at 375 degrees for an hour and a half.

I bake mine at 350 F for an hour, however it depends on just what I put in it, the size of the loaf, etc. I always check the middle before taking it out and allow it to sit a few minutes before serving.

Tako the octopus makes AWESOME meatloaf!
Even my kids love it!

350 to 375

It depends on the recipe, the size of the pan, the amount of meatloaf, etc. My mother makes a lamb, beef, pork, and three cheese meatloaf that takes an hour and a half to cook in a 325 degree oven. The recipe in the Better Homes and Gardens New Cook Book (highly recommended, by the way) calls for an oven set to 350 degrees and only forty minutes of cook time. I can tell you the two recipes are very different.

My best guess would be to consider the type of meat used and the safe recommendations for internal temperature for that meat. Try 350 and forty minutes. At the end of time, stick an instant read thermometer (available almost everywhere for just a few bucks) into the very center of the loaf. If the internal temperature is correct, take it out of the oven. If not, check it every five minutes until it is the correct temperature.
