Here is a recipe I think you'll like, we had this a few months back, family loves it!! Enjoy!
.
Three-Nut Crusted Wholey Whiting
Eggs - 3 lightly beaten
All purpose flour - 1/2 cup
Wholey Whiting fillets - 4 six-ounce fillets
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Cayenne pepper - pinch
Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon, freshly cracked Pecans - 1/2 cup, finely chopped
Macadamia nuts - 1/2 cup finely chopped Hazelnuts or filberts - 1/2 cup finely chopped All-Bran flakes - 1 cup
Bread crumbs - 1 cup, unseasoned
Olive oil -1/4 cup
Butter - 2 tablespoons, unsalted
Combine breadcrumbs, bran flakes and nuts. Season the Wholey whiting with salt, cracked pepper and cayenne. Dust whiting with flour and dip into beaten eggs, then into the nut mixture, shaking off the excess. Heat the oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Saute the fish until golden brown, about two minutes. Turn the fish; cook for 30 seconds. Then transfer the fish to a 350-degree oven to finish cooking for four minutes. Remove from oven.
