What should I make for a picnic lunch?!

Question:

What should I make for a picnic lunch?

I'm going on a field trip with my class, and we have to pack a lunch. I don't pack lunches anymore. I might sound kind of stupid asking this, but I want to know what to pack for a lunch. I don't like peanut butter and jelly. I have to fit this in a brown paper bag. I'm going shopping at Wegman's tomorrow, so it can be anything. Some healthy choices are definitely welcome!

Answers:
You should buy those "lunchables". They come in meny different choices like chicken nuggets, hamburgers, hotdogs, nachos, tacos, cracker sandwiches, pizza, etc etc. It usually comes with a drink and a desert like a jello, pudding or candy. I`m sure you could eat more than that though, you may need to pack 2 of them :]

If not lunchables, try some sandwiches. Although you don`t like PB&J, doesn`t mean you won`t like other sandwiches. My favorite is the BLT (bacon, lettuce, tomato) It`s really delicious. You could also try something like tuna salad, egg salad, grilled cheese, ham & cheese, roast beef, etc. etc. You can choose from tons of different lunch meats, veggies, cheeses, and condiments such as mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup..

Or, try some hot dogs/hamburgers. Before your field trip, prepare these and wrap in foil. They may be a little warm when it comes to lunch time though.

If you want a healthy choice, make a salad. Get a plastic container that you`ll be able to throw away and put some lettuce and veggies in it such as romaine lettuce, cucumbers, tomatos, celery, carrots, spinach or what ever you want.. Even add some canned tuna, chicken, cheese, croutons, or chow mein noodles for a more variety salad. Then in a small container, pour some salad dressing into it. There are many salad dressing to choose from like italian, 1000 islands, ranch, ceasar etc. etc :]

Any of these ideas can be put in a brown paper bag and make sure you add a drink such as water, juice or soda and also something sweet to finish off with like a brownie, cookie, jello, pudding, cupcake, or candy.
Hope I helped! Good Luck...

Buy whole-grain or multi grain tortillas and make sandwich wraps!
You can use egg salad, tuna salad, just a ton of veggies, whatever you'd like to stuff it with.
Also some yogurt, some fresh fruit or berries...all easy and delicious.
You could also throw in some cubes of cheese, boiled eggs, trail mix, stuff like that.
And don't forget a bottle of water!!

chicken salad stuffed into a pita pocket

My favorite picnic lunch is crackers, brie cheese, and some proscuitto ham. I also like to include a fruit (grapes? strawberries?) and a bottled water or perhaps some cranberry juice.

Or get those sandwhich rolls and do turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and some avocado. Yum!

panini, biscotti, anise celery, and lemon pudding
