How do you dry fresh herbs?!

Question:

How do you dry fresh herbs?

Answers:
Tie the stems together and hang them upside down in a cupboard, and as they approach the dry stage tie a paper bag around them so the individual flakes or leaves fall off onto the floor

You have two choices: rinse them and pat dry and then either tie them in bunches and hang them upside down to dry, or put them in a single layer on a baking sheet for about 12 hours in a very slow (the lowest setting) oven. I always choose option 1, however I keep fresh herbs in the house at all times. Can't you just bring a pot inside?

place the washed herbs between furnace filters and attach a large fan to the filters using bungee cords, turn the fan on high and allow to sit overnight when you wake up you will have dried herbs and your house will smell like herbs too. but if your willing to spend a little money just by a food dehydrator and follow the instructions that come with it.

Just let them sit out in the sun and dry it will take a couple of days for them to dry though! Good Luck!

make sure they are clean. put them on a cloth , in an area in your house were it is not moist. leave it there for weeks. then store in a container.

I wind twine around the bottom of the branches and hang them in the kitchen. I made a hanger for them using a piece of 1x3 that I attached shaker pegs to, I tie the twine to those. It looks good and it make the kitch smell good while they are drying. When they are dry, I hold the bunch over a bowl and squeeze the bunch until the branches are bare, then I put the herbs in plastic containers.
