Question:

Need good ideas for a cookie recipe for this occasstion...quick....?

I am looking for a cute cookie, brownie, bar, treat, etc. idea to take with me to my brother and sister-in-law's house tomorrow afternoon... They just had their first baby and got to take her home...So they are tired and I wanted to bring a fun treat!

I have this recipe for "Baby Ruth" cookies and thought that would be cute, but neither one of them really likes "baby ruth's", so I am trying to think of other ideas similar to this one...

Help!

Make your favorite recipe of sugar cookies. Make the dough into 2 inch balls roll in different jimmies and colored sugar , press down slightly, stick a wooden skewer into each one and bake. arrange in a vase or planter like a flower arrangement. You may have to cut the skewers to different lengths to give it the look of a real arrangement. Have fun!

Melt kit kat bars and make it a cake...;)

1 box of any flavor cake mix
1 8 oz container of cool whip
1 egg

mix cool whip, cake mix and egg together

roll into balls and then roll in powdered sugar

Bake in 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes

Yummy! If you pick chocolate cake the cookies come out very cool - white with chocolate "cracks"

try this:
one package brownie mix
1 cup chocolate syurup
1 half gallon Moose Trackks ice cream

Prepare brownie mix and bake. Let cool. Soften Ice cream to room temp. Spoon ice cream all over brownis.
Drizzle choc. surup over ice cream..Then freeze.

Go ahead and make your brownies. Cut them out using a gingerbread cookie cutter. Pipe on the eyes and buttons and you have a darling brownie baby!

Get a couple of mini terra cotta pots, line with plastic wrap, fill with softened ice cream, top with crushed oreos and put in a couple of gummy worms and stick in a real rose that you have plastic wrapped the bottom in, and you are set for an instant cute little eatable plant (kinda) ! (You can make your own flowers BTW, by making them using a regular size gumdrop and those cookies with the holes in the center. I forgot what they are called. They have chocolate frosting drizzled on them, put on a bamboo skewer putting the gumdrop on either side of the cookie and then put that in your plant, making the whole thing almost eatable. Very cute!
