Ah, Labrina, you tricked me.

So, here I was...reading a question asking for the "cheapest way to cook an omelet?" and, being an omelet lover myself and having quite an array of various and sundry recipes for cooking omelets cheaply using spanish, cuban, canadian, mexican, guatamalen, peruvian, brazilian, australian, icelandic, european, argentinian, chinese, korean, japanese, german, french, indian, malaysian, italian, and even american ingredients...you ask for one with PHILLIPPINE ingredients.

Sorry, but...I don't know that one.

Traditionally, they don't eat omelettes in the Philippines...

There's no 'cheap' vs 'expensive' way of cooking an omelette. Except for the kind of ingredients you add.
I love a simple ham and corn omelette with cheese.
Cook it quick in a shallow pan on the stove. Brown the ham and corn, put it aside when done. Put the eggs in and lightly whip or move around the pan. Add the ingredients by arranging them evenly. Then just wait and cook.
You can fold it in half when it starts to bubble, flip it over, or you can put a lid on it and allow it to steam through.
There's no limit to what ingredients you can add.
Buy something cheap and in season and just add what you feel like eating!

Omelettes are best made with water : Beat together 2-3 eggs and 25-50 mL (2-3 Tbsp.) water and season to taste with salt and pepper..

Melt 15 mL (1 Tbsp.) butter in a pan heated to medium high temperature. Pour in egg mixture. The mixture should set at the edges at once.

With a spatula, gently push cooked portions toward the center. While drawing cooked portions to centre, tilt and rotate the pan to allow uncooked egg to flow into the empty spaces.

While the top is still moist and creamy, garnish one half of the omelette with filling. Slip the spatula under the unfilled side, fold the omelette in half and slide onto a plate.

Filling ingredients: Rice .. curry powder.. chili ..pork ..shrimps.. chicken ... carrot ... leek... or other vegetables.... Take whatever you′ve got ....
For a sauce: Mayonnaise, garlic and coconut flakes, salt and pepper to taste.
