Microwaves are for baking potatoes and popping pop corn.
Almost all packaged foods have more than one cooking instruction on the back, unless they are made specifically for microwave cooking. Even then, just taring the thing open and warming it in a pan is more reliable than the nuker.
yes u can. i only use microwave to boil noodle. it's fast and easy.
You need a stove to boil the ravioli. Sorry!
I have made spaghetti in the microwave before!! You just take a microwaveable bowl, put some water in it and put it in the microwave for about 10 minutes. After that (careful, it's hot!) take out the bowl and put your ravioli in. Put it in for another 10-15 minutes, and Ta-Da!! Ravioli that is not frozen!!
Don't use a lid to cover the bowl while it is in the microwave.
OK dont panic-the ravioli is probably already cooked it just needs to be heated up so put it in a big microwavable plastic bowl and add water and cover it with the lid
Now put it in the microwave on high for about 3 minutes and then stir it and check and see if it is all hot. it is cooked when you can bite through it and the pasta is not tough. You can eat it with just a bit of butter on it if the filling is tasty enough or you can pour a sauce over it. They sell premade sauces in the frozen food section that already in microwavable packages, Bon appetit!
yes if u put them in a big enough bowl that is able to go i the microwave..... just read da directions da bag brings ....it should take about 8 mins or so .....u can even make a "baked"potato in da microwave that take 8 mins first poke it with a fork a few times to let it breath.....just be very care full with ravioli water will be extremely hot then after their boiled add sause and cheese and remicrowave for another 2 mins and then its yummy in ur tummy time just be carefull for it's really hot
thats what i aways do. i own a stove but it does not work at the moment. i cook everything in the microwave. it does not taste as good but its still good.
You can. Try this way. oil a flat glass pan, put in a single layer of ravioli and maybe a quarter cup of water. Cover tightly and nuke on about 70% for say 6 minutes or so. If your microwave doesn't have a turn table, turn half way through. Carefully open the plastic (dangerous steam!!!) and pierce a ravioli with a fork. If it gives easily, they are done. If not add more water if necessary and keep nuking for small intervals (1-3 minutes) until done.
Hi Jane,
I cook as a hobby and hence have many cook books from the great chefs of the world. Their consensus is that a microvave is good for two things:
1) Quicky thawing out frozen food to be cooked.
2) Re-heating left overs.
The microwave is given thumbs down overall and if you want to do some sorts of fast cooking, use the pressure cooker.
Experience has shown me this is very true.

Michael Kelly
Yes, just take them out of the package and put them in a nonmetallic saucepan or casserole dish. You can season them or put butter or sauce on the then just crank up the microwave. I cook everything in it.
A microwave can't cook everything (or it can't cook everything well), but you should be fine. A microwave cooks by heating water, and since you're trying to boil something, you're in luck.
Make sure you use a microwave-safe bowl, and cook the pasta for less than you would over a stove--a microwave can overcook because it applies constant, even power, and the ravioli filling could get tough if it cooks too long.
Good luck!
frozen ravoli only need about one min on the stove so cook your hot water for about 5 min then add ravoli for about min and a half, And you can cook absolutely anything in a microwave brownies to fried chicken!!! one thing you cannot is boiled eggs!!! they will explode when u try to open it!!!
first of all, a microwave doesnt really cook things well. its good for frozen things and heating things up but i dont recommend trying to cook or bake in a microwaves. frozen ravioli can be cooked very easily in a pot of boiling water on a stove. if you read the bag, i guarantee that it gives you directions.
however, since you dont have a stove, what i would do is let them thaw a bit, then boil water in the microwave and let them sit in the water. you might have to periodically change the water for more fresh boiled water. i dont recommend putting them directly in water and in the microwave because i guarantee that it will lead to a huge mess.
use boiling water from the kettle its quicker then put your ravioli in a bowl and cover with the boiling water not too much tho
any thing you cook in water would cook just fine in a microwave you can cook just about ant thing in a microwave you just need to remember that it cook by the moisture in it so if you cook meat or something with less moisture then make sure you have a little water in the dish with the meat ext. or in a small container on the side of the dish cooking
