Throw them in a freezer bag with some italian dressing for at least an hour. (In the fridge) Put them on a grill, grill pan, or frying pan with 1tbsp olive oil and cook on each side on medium heat until cooked through. (about 7 minutes on each side)
You can even cut it up after that and add it to pasta
I'd bake it in the oven, that is the easiest and there are so many ways you can do it from BBQ, to cream of chicken recipes, casseroles and they all take the same amount of time basically. Try looking up recipes at www.allrecipes.com and put in chicken breast........watch all the recipes pop up
I like to put chicken breast with italian dressing and bake it for 40-45 until juices run clear at 350.
The quickest and easiest is to poach it in a little water, chicken broth or wine. You're basically steaming it, and it stays moist. You can also put it in a covered casserole and bake it with some chicken broth. Add some onion, carrot, garlic, rosemary, salt and pepper. Bake at 350. The chicken is done when it's white all the way through (no pink) when cut in half. (Generally about 45 minutes, but it depends on the amount of chicken, size of dish, etc.
Chicken breast tends to be dry, which is why I recommend using a liquid when cooking.
You can also substute bottled marinades, teriyake sauce, or even spaghetti sauce for the liquid when baking to vary things a little.
No cooking experience or skills needed for any of these.
For a nice variation you can slice the chicken breasts into thin strips and stir-fry it with veggies or with spices like garlic, cumin and onion for a more flavorful taste and eat like fajitas.
This is great if you have a slow cooker...
2-3 frozen chicken breasts
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
mix soups together, add frozen chicken breasts, cook in slow cooker on low for at least 7 hours. Serve over mashed potatoes or egg noodles.
I sometimes add a few slices of cooked bacon with the chicken for good flavor. This is an easy recipe and the best part is, when you get home, it's already done! I work out a lot too, so I don't have a lot of time at night. Good luck!
Hey, no need to worry, it's really easy. I usually buy the skinless, boneless chicken breasts. Of course before I get ready to cook them I'll wash them off. I get a good frying pan that has a good lid to use with it. I will use medium heat to cook the chicken at first (browning it about 5 minutes per side). Once I feel it is getting there, I will add additional spices (salt, pepper, garlic, celery, green onions - whatever you like). Add a little butter for more flavor, then about a cup and a half of water. Bring to a steady boil with the lid on at this time (I then simmer the chicken for a good 20 minutes). This way you will have a flavorful chicken breast that isn't dried out...the simmering helps retain its juices. I usually serve it with plain white rice, or Uncle Ben's wild rice. It's wonderful. I use it often as my husband is on a low-sodium diet.
cook it on a george forman grill
