I want to make Parmesan Breaded Pork Chops, but I have a problem?!?!

Question:

I want to make Parmesan Breaded Pork Chops, but I have a problem?!?

To make the crust stick to the porkchops, you are supposed to dip the meat in egg. I don't have any eggs, is there anything else I can use to make the breading stick? Thanks!

Answers:
First dip it "dry" in flour lightly, then milk, then you're ready to dredge it in whatever you want. It will stick to it.

try some milk

milk or water

maybe just milk & flour?

Yes, you can dip it in pancake complete mix. You can also use flour and water with a little baking soda.

You can use butter and Dijon mustard if you have it. My mom makes those all the time...now that I cook for myself I make them frequently as well. I just use regular breadcrumbs to coat but your parm coating will only make them more delicious.

Try brushing the chop with vegetable oil or milk before rolling it in the crumbs. It will not have the same effect. The egg coagulates the bread crumbs together to make the crust, aside from sticking it to the meat. Vegetable oil may be the closest next thing--if you don't have powdered egg whites (that you would reconstitute) or egg substitute.

I agree with Boo's suggestion.
