I have the perfect thing. I know this is going to sound wierd but trust me it is REALLY good.

Oyster Sauce. You can find it in the Oriental section of your local grocer. The first time I tried it I did not beleive what I was eating. It is sooooooo good and taste NOTHING like oysters when it cooks with the meat. Just maranate in the sauce for a few hours (or at least 30 min) and grill. No need to add anything else. Just dont make the same mistake I did. Be sure not to add any extra sauce while you have them on the grill (or in the pan). The sauce has to cook or it dosent taste right.

put the meat in a flat bowl and pour soy sauce in, squeeze a lemon on it and put a bit of black pepper. My bf does steak in a frying pan and with onions using that marinade. It's really delicious.

mix Brown sugar, olive oil, red wine and crushed garlic.
Taste good. Give it a try. Forget about measuring...just mix the amount you needed to cover up all your meat.
Try to brush that bbq with a honey blended in water too. Really good. Simple but it taste good. Honey mix with water. Brush on bbq. Taste good.

A basic marinade is oil and acid. The oil conditions the meat, and the acid breaks down and tenderizes the meat. Oil can be olive oil, vegetable oil, or anything else you have. Acid can be wine, citric juice, vinegar, or anything acidic. All the other nuances should be up to you. Do you like garlic? If so, add some fresh crushed garlic. Add any herbs spices you like. The important thing is oil and acid.

I like to mix three or four tablespoons Worchestershire sauce with a half cup water, a couple of good shakes of Montreal steak seasoning, and a tablespoon or so of brown sugar. (Taste the mixture before you put the steak in it. It should have a nice blend of salt-sharp-sweet flavors. Adjust seasonings to taste.)

Pour the mixture over the steak, and let it set for an hour or so, turning the meat over a couple of times. Use any left-over marinade to baste the steak while you grill or broil them, too. Good stuff!

A little oil and vinegar.... some apricot preserves..... some canned jalepenos (the nacho kind) minced all up in a proccessor and a splash of salt and pepper. Mix up and put in ziploc with steak in fridge for 1 hour. Just eyeball everything until it's a good consistency---- gravy like.

Very uninventive, but quick: A-1 has several ready to go marinades in the bottle at the grocery store. I have tried them and they work great.
