Type of chocoalte for homemade candies?!

Question:

Type of chocoalte for homemade candies?

What is the best type of chocoalte used to melt and make into homemade candies with a double boiler?

Answers:
Chocolate chips are the best because they are already broken up,so they melt evenly.Use 1 package of chips and two tablespoons of crisco or cooking oil.Let melt completly and that`s all there is to it.Try adding crushed pretzels, then spooning the mixture onto foil or waxed paper for a yummy treat.Or crushed peppermint.

dark is the best

semi sweet dark

I use semi sweet. Also to make your candy shiney like what you would buy, melt a bit of pariffin ( brand name Gulf Wax here) in the double boiler before the chocolate then stir the chocolate chips in with it. About 1/4 a block per 12 ozs chips

milk chocolate and baker's chocolate melt very fast, but if you want something different try white chocolate.
