What is the BEST way to slow cook a pork roast?
I am cooking for my parents on Tuesday, and I want it to taste super. I plan to put it in a crock pot in the morning, since I have to work that day and so won't have time to oven roast it. Please include names of seasonings.

Here are 2 of my favorite slow cooker recipes. They are simple and delicious. Enjoy!
Pot Roast Recipe
1 (3-pound) boneless chuck roast
1 1/2 teaspoons House seasoning, recipe follows
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 onion, thinly sliced
3 bay leaves
3 or 4 beef bouillon cubes, crushed
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup Chardonnay
Sprinkle roast on all sides with house seasoning. Using a skillet over high heat, sear roast until brown in oil. Place roast in a slow cooker, and layer onions, bay leaves, crushed bouillon cubes, garlic, and cream of mushroom soup. Add the Chardonnay and cover with enough water to cover all of the ingredients. Cook on the low setting for 8 hours.
House Seasoning:
1 cup salt
1/4 cup black pepper
1/4 cup garlic powder
Mix ingredients together and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months
Bbq Pulled Pork Sandwiches
4 pounds pork shoulder roast
5 to 6 whole cloves
3 tablespoons Irvine Spices Smokey Rotisserie Blend Seasoning
2 red onions, thinly sliced
2 cups water
16 ounces barbeque sauce
Stud the roast with cloves and rub with rotisserie blend. Place roast in crock pot or slow cooker and top with onions. Cover roast with water and slow cook for 8 to 10 hours. Remove pork, discard cloves and layer of fat as well as any water and grease remaining in pot. When pork is cool enough to handle, use a fork or your hands to shred and pull the meat apart. Return the meat to the crock pot along with the barbeque sauce. Heat for 1 to 2 hours. Serve on your favorite roll
My husband cooks it on the gas grill, turns the heat down really low, and lets it cook until it's done, plus until it is basically falling apart, puts in a 9x13 pan with some carrots and potatoes, and some brown sugar, seasoning, oregano, and it is hard telling what else, put it is EXCELLENT, moist and falling apart!

Braised Pork Roast
3 lb pork roast
bunch of celery
1 lb carrots
flour, abt 1 cup
black pepper, sage, cumin, 1 tsp each
1 cup vegetable or chicken broth
1) Mix the flour and spices together, add 1/2 tsp salt. Sprinkle some flour/spice mixture on the roast and pound it into the surface with a wooden meat mallet or the side of a heavy pan. Keep sprinkling and pounding until the meat won't absorb any more.
2) wash & slice the celery, peel & slice the carrots, pieces should be about 1" long. Put them in the bottom of the crock pot.
3) Place the roast on top. Add 1 cup of vegetable broth or chicken broth.
4) Slow cook on high for 8-10 hours.
Serve over rice or noodles. You can add potatoes to the crock pot with the vegetables if you prefer.
Enjoy!
