Can soy milk replace milk when baking a cake?!

Question:

Can soy milk replace milk when baking a cake?

I'm looking to make a peaches and cream birthday cake but the birthday boy is lactose in tolerant. Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks

Answers:
Yes it can!! You use the same amount of soy milk that the recipe calls for of cows milk. It is the next best substitue!! Rice milk also works too.

Yes I cook with it all the time

Definitely

Yes, of course. I use that sometimes when cooking and also olive oil in place of crisco

Yes of course you can use soy milk

It can, but it will make it really gross. It will take a lot of the flavor down.

Yes I bake with it & other "Milks" with no problem.
Rice, & Nut milks do well also if you have problems with soy products.
You do not have to adjust the recipe at all.
