Like donuts? I need the name of one.?

Can anyone tell me what the technical name of the glazed donut that is twisted? I want to find the recipe but I need to know the name first.

A crueller is round, but twisted, and I think you're talking about just twisted. Have you tried calling your local donut shop to ask? At the donut shop near my house, the twisted donuts taste just like the regular glazed donuts. I don't think anything is done differently to the recipe other than the shape of the donut.

Its called a pastry or in french la petite crut.

They're called Crullers. Here's a recipe I found in a google search.

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1/4 c Shortening
3/4 c Sugar
1/4 c Milk
2 Eggs -- separated
1/2 ts Salt
1/4 ts Mace,nutmeg or vanilla
3 ts Baking powder
3 1/2 c Flour -- or alittle more

Cream shortening and sugar together until light; add
the well beaten yolks of eggs. Sift the flour,baking
powder, salt and spice and add alternately with the
milk, than fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites, and
than enough flour to make dough stiff. Place on a
floured board, roll out 3/4 of an inch thick and cut
with cruller cutter, or small glass and thimble for
center) Fry in hot oil. Remove from fat with wire
spoon or fork, drain on paper towel. Sprinkle with
cinnamon and sugar. Or powder sugar.

This shows a picture of it... well, one with chocolate icing. Not sure if this is what you're talking about, but it is the 1st thing I thought of because well, it is my favorite donut, haha.
