What's the best way to cook turkey bacon?!

Question:

What's the best way to cook turkey bacon?

I always have such a hard time w/ turkey bacon. I'd like to get it crisp w/o overcooking it if possible. (My husband came home w/ 99% fat free for some reason, and I'm not familiar with the stuff!)

Answers:
Turkey bacon is great. It's tough and chewy if undercooked to me. but I like my bacon VERY crisy and almost to the point of burning. Just fry it. The longer it's in there the crispier it will be. My husband just likes it cooked. I like mine almost to point of burning cause thats the only way I have found to make it as crispy as I like. Good luck!!

In a pan..just keep turning it over

I lay out my turkey bacon on a glass pyrex or plate.
Microwave on high for 5 minutes for about 8 slices,
may have to micro for additoinal minutes to ideal crispness.
Careful burns quick!

Microwave between paper towels.
Me personally , I would throw it away. ICK!
Defeats the purpose. Turkey "bacon" EWWW!

I use that kind of turkey bacon as well. To get a nice crispy not burnt texture. I heat up my griddle on high til very hot. Then I turn it heat down to med/high and spread a tablespoon of olive oil over cook surface. Place turkey strips on griddle and turn them over every 2 minutes until desired crispness. Yummy! You won't even notice they are turkey.

The best way to cook turkey bacon is in the microwave. Say for instance you want to cook 3 or 4 slices. Lay out the strips on a paper plate. Be sure not to have any bacon hanging over the edge of the plate. Then put another paper plate on top. Microwave the turkey bacon for 4 to 5 minutes. After 4 minutes check the bacon for crispness. If not as crisp as you would like it, then microwave the turkey bacon in increments of 30 seconds. When done take out the turkey bacon and remove the top paper plate. The cooling off period will make it crisp and your husband will rave over it!
