Cowboy Stew
Hearty, delicious, stew that can be cooked while you are away from the kitchen...no muss...no fuss.
UUM UUM GOOD

Ingredients
1 can Stewed tomatoes
1 can Kidney beans
1 Sm can corn
1 Sm can green beans
1 Sm can peas
1 Sm can pinto beans
1 can Sliced potatoes
1 tsp Minced garlic
2 cups chopped carrots
4 Tbls dried minced onion
2 Pkgs chili powder
2 pounds stew meat, marinated overnight in soy sauce
Salt/pepper to taste

Preparation
Mix all ingredients in a large pot and bring to a boil, then simmer for 30 minutes.

I sometimes use a crock pot and cook all day while at work.

Put in bowls to serve and cover with grated cheddar cheese.

Serve with hot rolls

Cook's Notes
You can add any other vegetables as you like and I sometimes add in some barley to thicken. The big thing in this is the marinated meat. Put it in the fridge overnight covered in soy sauce. Substitute fresh ingredients for canned or frozen if you want.

I cannot help cause my family cowboy stew was baked beans, hamburger, onion, brown sugar, catsup and mustard. I would really like to see if someone finds your recipe though cause yours sounds great!
