I use 1 cup of Dannon Light and Fit Vanilla yogurt, some ice cubes, 1 chopped banana, and about 1 c. of chopped strawberries. So yummy and healthy.

You can also try adding orange juice (1/2 cup) or a dash of vanilla extract for taste.

milk, cream, sugar, strawberries, banana, vanilla icecream in a mixer. Then turn the mixer on. FRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. you're ready now. Gulp the smoothie down now. DO NOT BARF.

When I make smoothies, I just put in frozen fruit, I use the mixed fruit, but you could use frozen strawberries, and if you have some bananas that are starting to brown, put them in the freezer, use some vanilla yogurt and a little bit of milk, I use fat free, but you can use whatever type you like, and just mix in in your blender or smoothie maker and enjoy!

ermmmm - with strawberries and bananas??!! LOL :)

I just use whatever amount of fruit (tinned strawberries in juice work well if fresh ones are expensive) and organe juice, then just whizz it up!

I use all sorts of fruit for smoothies - whatever was on offer in supermarket - fresh, frozen or tinned (but i try and get the ones tinned in juice rather than syrup) - peaches, pears, apricot, bananas, mango, paw-paw, berries of all kinds, pineapple, and just chuck in whatever i feel like at the time along with fuit juice (normally orange juice, but you could use whatever), and never yet made a horrible one!

You dont really need a recipe, it can be different every time, and that's the fun of it. I find that adding half yoghurt (strawberry) and half milk makes it taste really nice (although if youre adding banana it may be a bit thick) Also half yoghurt and half apple juice is nice too.

As you want this to be healthy use -
Half a pint of skimmed milk, one small carton plain fat free yoghurt, half a dozen large strawberries ( Great way to use those that are alittle over ripe) and half a banana
Blitz in a food processor until smooth (Will keep happily over night in the fridge, just stir and you have an instant breakfast
Other great combinations are - Kiwi fruit and pineapple, Passion fruit, honey and pear. Peach and apple with a squirt of lime added just before serving
If you are ever ill or just can't face a meal -
Mix half a pint of skimmed milk, a pot of yoghurt, one fresh egg, a teaspoon of honey, one banana, and a heaped teaspoon of toasted almonds blitz and have as a meal substitute, it is filling nourishing and it won't exhaust you like eating a whole plate of food!
