Can I can a tomato based pasta sauce with wine in it?!

Question:

Can I can a tomato based pasta sauce with wine in it?

I have a wonderful Bolganese (?) recipe that I'm wondering if I can can. Would this risk any of the flavor if I did? or would it be just fine or should I just stick to canning tomatoes or sauce w/o wine in it...does anyone out there know?

Adding a little red wine or whatever good grade drinking wine you have on hand will not hurt a thing..... wine gives any tomato based product a bit of a fresher flavor.... I use a bit of wine in all of my tomato sauce recipes, chilli etc... if it has tomatoes, then wine will only enhance it

Emeril, Rachel Ray, Alton Brown.......need I say more?

i don't see how that could hurt- as long as the alcohol is cooked off, the wine shouldn't do any harm to your bolognese...try it! could be really nice.

yes you can...... add the wine to the completed sauce and simmer to burn off the alcohol and intensify the flavor.
