Original soup recipe?!
Original soup recipe?
I'm a soup person. I absolutely love any kind of soup. But I've been looking for a new and more original tasting soup. So if you have any idea of a really unique tasting soup recipe tell me.
Answers:
Are you working for a large corporate soup manufacturer will I be eating my family's recipe out of a can next year. Sorry just a little paranoid today, my favorite soup recipe is Top Ramen
Okay this soup is not original, but I always make it when I am feeling bad, or if it's cold outside, even if it's hot! It is super easy, and really really yummy!
Chicken and Dumplings
You will need: 4 chicken breasts, carrots (the baby kind), celery (3 stalks), in the can bisquits (one can of 8 and one can of 5, make sure the can of five is butter tasting) chicken boulioun cubes, and pepper.
First cut up your celery and carrots. You can use as many baby carrots as you like, my mom says 17, but I say more, depending on what you like. After that get your soup pot put the chicken, celery, carrots and pepper in. Cover with water till the chicken is covered (1 inch above chicken.) Put on stovetop and boil. When chicken is done, pull it out of the boiling water and cut it up. Reduce heat on stove. Fill up with 2 cups of water. Open up cans of biscuits. One biscuit at a time pull of little pieces about the size of a jawbreaker. You don't have to roll into little balls, just pull them and drop. After a couple of biscuits stir. Do this until all the biscuits are gone. Now all you have to do is add 10 bouilion cubes. Wait 20 to 30 minutes. You can taste the dumplings to see if they are done. When they are done they will no longer be doughy.
If you like it more soupy add more water and more bouilion cubes.
I know this doesn't sound good but it really is. I serve it when there is a big group of people and they love it.
If you need a potato soup recipe I have one too.

I haven't tried this one yet, but they were making it on that show "Restaurant Makeover" on the Food Network, and everybody there says it's good. Plus it's made with cauliflower, so it's inexpensive. (I just remembered, it helps if you have an emulsion blender, though, to puree the soup.)
Ingredients:
Chicken - Drumstick or Thighs
1 Clove of Garlic
