The first thing you do is to make cuts across like this # on top of ham, only cut deep enough to place whole cloves in each cut. place ham on rack in a pan big enough to fix a casserole, approx. 9x 12 size. Cooked the ham on 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. While ham is baking, in a large bowl add 1 cup of yellow mustard with 2 1/2 cups of brown sugar. mix well. When ham has cooked for 1 1/2 hours take out of oven and pour mustard & brown sugar over the top of ham. Using a small brush gently brush over the ham , you do not need to take ham out of pan. Cover ham loosely with aluminum foil, making sure not to let foil touch the sugar mix . bake for another 1 1/2 hours. Ham should be a golden glaze color if you want try to see if it is done enough to your liking, cut or slice a small piece near the bottom side of ham, it should taste heavenly!!!!. Bon appettit!!!

I usually make a glazed ham, its brown sugar with pineapple either sliced or crushed.
brown sugar and mustard or cloves orange sauce pineapples glaze cherries
This sounds hideous, but it's really good. Combine brown sugar, yellow mustard and enough water to make it "pourable" and slowly pour it over your ham. While baking it, take it out every 20-30 minutes and baste it with the juices in the bottom of the pan.
Can I be your bf ???
http://www.hormel.com/create/default.asp... has some stuff on it about ham, the whole shebang about baking and cooking. plus tips for topping. I know this sounds funny, but a little 7up cookbook I inherited from my mother says to
baste with 7up. HOWEVER it is too sweet. and if you look up regrettable foods, its on there :P The navy serves their ham with a raisin sauce. If you type in google "ham glazes" (complete with quotation marks, you will get a plethora of sites. just keep looking until you find one that sounds tasty to you. If you are not that much for sweet things, avoid the ones that call for over a few tbsp. of brown sugar. Just dont overbake the ham, that will make it bad. :P
You can use a mixture of brown sugar and orange juice to glaze it and then decorate with pineapple slices and whole cloves.
If you have apricot or cherry jam, that is a quick glaze.
Another very good thing is to mix a can of cherry pie filling and a can of whole cranberry sauce. Heat in micro and serve over ham slices after it is done. This is very good.
Personally, I don't use anything anymore, I like it plain.
My grandmother would pour a can of coke on her ham but she did it after it had been cooking.
you make up a glaze honey or orange marmalade are my favourites but just thin the honey down with a little water and keep painting it on the ham for the first hour should turn out just fine but dont have the oven temp too high or it will burn good luck ...
