Answers:
Beat an egg
Dip chops in egg
Then dip in breadcrumbs - actually I use a pack of stuffing
Then fry quickly
Serve with mash,peas and a nice cool cider.
Don't start just yet as I cannot get round till 1 o clock
Cook them on high heat for a short time - BBQ them in a marinade is best
I cook them like this.....
Sprinkle them liberally with pepper and cinnamon. Line bottom of baking dish (8x8 if only making 2) with sliced green apples, try to slice them flat. GENTLY sprinkle apples with salt.
Pour about 1/2 cup of apple juice or sweet white wine, like a reisling, into bottom of pan. Place pork over apples and spread tops with applesauce (CAREFULLY), in a fairly thick layer. Cover lightly with foil and bake 1 hour at 350*. The applesauce should thicken slightly, and the apples & juice should keep the pork moist.
You can grill - but watch as if you leave them too long they will dry out. You can fry, will keep in the moisture. My favourite is to roast but in some stock and turn the chops throughout the cooking so, in turn, all the meat is submerged in the stock.
I use pork loins to cook kebabs. They're lovely
Cut the fat off and cube the meat. Marinade it in a mix of olive oil, worchestershire sauce, pepper and Schwartz Jerk seasoning so it's runny but not too gloopy. Leave for 30 mins to an hour. Add to wooden skewers spaced with peppers, onion, corgette and mushroom and grill (or BBQ) for 20 mins, turning them halfway. I serve this with toasted pitta and some rice boiled in water that I had add some yellow based seasoning like cumin or paprika.
The veg juice and the marinade keeps them moist this way. And it's easy and tasty without being too overpowering.
My boyfriend cannot get enough!
Just grill them gently under a medium heat, turning frequently until juices just begin to run clear when you poke them with a sharp knife. Don't forget that nowadays (UK) you don't have to cook pork to death - it's no longer full of nasties ! ! !
I season them with salt, pepper & a little garlic, wrap in Bacon and grill until the bacon is done ( med heat). MMM just melts in your mouth.
Preheat Oven to 350*
Take a Large onion cut in half, slice it. Place slices on Chops in a Baking Pan, pour some Molasses over them. Add 2 cups of water to the pan, (enough water to cover bottom of pan).
Cover pan with Foil, place in Oven for 1 hour.
fry onion and 1 crushed clove garlic in olive oil until soft add pork and brown, i prefer to slice pork into strips add half pint chicken stock and simmer until tender then add sliced mushroom cook for 1 minute and then add double cream stirring until thickens. Season as required. Serve with rice or pasta
Garlic-Lime Pork Chops
INGREDIENTS
* 1/3 cup fat-free Italian salad dressing
* 1/3 cup salsa
* 4 1/2 teaspoons lime juice
* 4 1/2 teaspoons minced fresh cilantro or parsley
* 4 garlic cloves, minced
* 1 1/4 teaspoons grated lime peel
* 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
* 6 boneless lean pork loin chops
DIRECTIONS
1. In a bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Pour 1/2 cup into a large resealable plastic bag; add the pork chops. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade.
2. Drain and discard marinade from chops. Place on a broiler pan rack. Broil 4 in. from the heat for 7 minutes on each side or until juices run clear. Baste with reserved marinade.
I tend to grill chops on one side and then turn them over, top with a little apple sauce and then a little stuffing (made up with water, rather than the granules) and then grill again until just cooked, served with mash potato, yummy!!!
Remove from fridge min 1hour-so cook v gently from room temp.DONT overcook.-Super sauce accompanyment I find is Lloyd Grossman Smokey bacon sauce.Enjoy.
