Sandwich Maker Recipe: Tuna Melt
* 2 slices of bread(white or wheat), buttered on one side
* 1 large spoonful tuna salad made with Miracle Whip or other salad dressing
* 1 slice of American cheese
* 1 slice of Tomato
* Salt and pepper to taste

PREPARATION:
Preheat sandwich maker according to the manufacturer’s directions. Place one slice of bread butter side down in sandwich maker. Place one large spoonful of tuna salad in the middle of the bread. Flatten.Build upward with a slice of cheese, slice of tomato and salt and pepper to taste. Top with a slice of bread, butter side up. Close and lock lid. Cook for two minutes, check and cook for up to one minute more as needed.

It is a grilled cheese with the tuna filling basically.
You use you cheese of choice , fresh sliced tomatoes, crisp bacon and your fav. tuna salad mixture. I work for a Frischs Big Boy back in Ohio for many yrs. And anyone who know of them, that is one of the BEST sandwiches. I also had alot of requests to add mayo lettuce and even onion to the sandwich. All a personal preference.

Tuna Melt Sandwiches
INGREDIENTS
3/4 cup chopped celery
3/4 cup diced Cheddar cheese
1 (6 ounce) can tuna, drained and flaked
1 small onion, chopped
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
6 hamburger buns, split
DIRECTIONS
In a bowl, combine the first six ingredients; set aside. Spread butter over cut sides of buns. Spread tuna mixture on bun bottoms; replace tops. Wrap in foil. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

1 can (6 oz.) tuna, drained, flaked
3 Tbsp. KRAFT Mayo Light Mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. chopped celery
8 slices white bread
8 KRAFT 2% Milk Singles
8 tsp. vegetable oil spread



MIX tuna, mayo and celery; set aside.
COVER one bread slice with one 2% Milk Singles, 1/4 of the tuna mixture and second 2% Milk Singles. Top with second bread slice. Repeat to make 4 sandwiches. Spread outsides of sandwiches evenly with vegetable oil spread.
COOK in skillet on medium heat for 3 to 4 min. on each sides or until lightly browned on both sides.

Get your favorite bread,best is sourdough.
Put a light spread of butter on 1 side.Put in pan and add 2 slices of american cheese and a scoop of tuna and spread on one side of bread.add sliced onions and tomatoes if you like(with a bit of garlic salt) then once the cheese starts to melt add 2 more slices of cheese then the second bread and flip and let it cook till brown..
