how do you make "coleslaw"?

It's coleslaw, son. COLEslaw. And I've had it warm, too.

cole slaw

it is COLE SLAW not COLD slaw......it is shredded cabbage and some carrots, maybe some celery seeds and mayo....

LOL. Assuming this is a serious question... it's COLE slaw. It's basically shredded cabbage, a few shredded carrots & sometimes onions and other veggies, tossed with a creamy dressing (the dressing is made of particular ingredients... not just ANY creamy dressing).

It's COLESLAW

and its chopped up cabbage with other veggies and a yummy sauce...a universal BBQ side dish

and there is a warm slaw,

it's what happens when you leave the coleslaw out in the sun for too long!

=^.^=

It's probably coleslaw, not cold slaw... It is a salad based on cole and it might have mayonnaise or other types of dressings depending on the recipe.

These are some ideas on how to make it:

It is actually Cole Slaw. Traditionally a cabbage-based salad. Usually served cold, but warm after sitting out for while. I would not recommend eating it warm if it has mayonnaise -- likely food poisoning.

coleslaw is made from cabbage

Me thinks you be confused...it's Cole slaw, not Cold Slaw! George Bush eats "War Slaw" not "Warm Slaw". Bah Dum Dum Crash....

OMG...cold slaw?

it is coleslaw. It is shredded cabbage with shredded carrots mixed with mayonise and salt and pepper.

They also make a coleslaw dressing you can use.

Many stores now sell prepackage slaw mix - you just add the dressing.

try this:

Restaurant Style Coleslaw
INGREDIENTS
1 (16 ounce) package coleslaw mix
2 tablespoons minced onion
1/3 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
DIRECTIONS
Combine the coleslaw and onion in a large bowl.
In a separate bowl, combine the sugar, salt, pepper, milk, mayonnaise, buttermilk, vinegar and lemon juice; mix until smooth. Pour mixture over the coleslaw and onion; stir well and chill for 1 hour.

Your thinking of coleslaw - have you ever been to KFC?

So now you know what "Cole Slaw" is, and that it's best to eat it cold. There is a thing here in the south that we eat with our pulled pork bbq called "Hot Slaw." It is eaten cold also, but it's spicy!! Yum!

it's cole slaw which is usually served cold but I've had it warm also. my favorite newer one is the broccoli slaw which is shredded broccoli stalk, carrots, and red cabbage. I usually toss it with some raisins, sunflower seeds, bacon bits, and a light viniagrette. It's quite tasty. This weekend on Paula's Home Cooking there was one that I'm definitely going to try.

Traditional cole slaw is green cabbage, carrots, and red cabbage with mayo. I like to add a little black pepper, chopped pineapple and sometimes raisins to the traditional.

LOL :)

ITS COLESLAW NOT COLD SLAW .
