What is banana sauce?!

Question:

What is banana sauce?

I found a bottle of "banana sauce" at the international market. I have never seen it, or heard of it before. What is it? Would it be good on barbequed shrimp?

I got this from Wiki:

"Banana sauce is a sweet mixture used as a topping for ice cream and baked sweets such as bread pudding and cakes. It is typically served warm and made with bananas, rum, butter, and brown sugar. It is prepared as a thick, but easily poured, liquid."

It may be too sweet for shrimp, but it does sound good!

it'd probably be great on bbq shrimp.
