Pretzel or Bagel?!

Question:

Pretzel or Bagel?

Which is more healthy - or less fat...lol A Large (NYC) soft pretzel or A salt bagel

Answers:
are we talking about portion to portion or just a pretzel and a bagel you buy anywhere? Portion to portiition I believe is probably the same, but just a pretzel vs bagel. I would go with the pretzel and mustard isn't so good on a bagel. And you'd have to add cream cheese to the bagel so there goes your intake in fat.

Bagel is better than pretzel.

I'd say pretzel. Yum, that makes me hungry.

I would think that a soft pretzel would have less calories and fat than a salt bagel. But, they are probable pretty close.

bagel cause it tastes better and you could put jelly or other healthy things in it.

Pretzels have fewers carbs...bagels can have as many as 6 servings of carbohydrates per bagel!!!

bagel would have less salt...
but i'm biased. i love bagels. i would make them unhealthy by smearing all sorts of jams or something on them. cream cheeses... yum.. i'm drooling at the thought.

I think the large pretzel is healthier after you consider what you add to the bagel, like cream cheese or whatnot. However, both of them have a large amount of salt in them and should only be eaten occasionally.

Bagel

A salted soft pretzel has about 180 calories and 36g of carbs.

A salted bagel has about 360 calaries and 71g of carbs, and that doesn't even include your toppings.

I think the choice is clear. But it saddens me to see people posting ignorant answers without even doing research. Bagels are not as good for you as everyone thinks, especially for someone trying to balance a LOW CARB diet.

Bagel !

I love Bagels and I'm a southern' boy..lol...I would love to try a Real, Fresh Baked NYC Bagel..no matter If it 's good for me or not!! LOL!!
