Campbell Soup?!

Question:

Campbell Soup?

Why can't I find Oyster Stew anymore?

Answers:
you should write to the company. They might tell you where they still sell it..or if it's still made..never know..they might even send you some!

Your search for your favorite Campbell's products, including Hard-to-Find items, is over! You can now purchase Oyster Stew, Pepper Pot, and Cream of Shrimp ... so i guess it was Hard-to-find for a while but you can buy it online =)

I was discontinued hunny.

You can find it on http://www.amazon.com/campbells-condense...
That is for a 12 pack. If you buy another small item, you will get free shipping.

Good luck!

They dont make it anymore...write the company and ask them to make it again...if they get enough requests then they may put it back into production..

they dont make it any more here is a recipe i like

1/2 cup butter
1 cup minced celery
3 tablespoons minced shallots
1 quart half-and-half cream
2 (12 ounce) containers fresh shucked oysters, undrained
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 pinch cayenne pepper, or to taste
DIRECTIONS
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat, and cook the celery and shallots until shallots are tender.
Pour half-and-half into a large pot over medium-high heat. Mix in the butter, celery, and shallot mixture. Stir continuously. When the mixture is almost boiling, pour the oysters and their liquid into the pot. Season with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Stir continuously until the oysters curl at the ends. When the oysters curl the stew is finished cooking; turn off the heat and serve.

Oyster is better served in fried eggs omelette.
It's rare to find it in the stew.
Moreover, the taste would not be that pleasant.
It's not that appealing to most.
