My daughters bday is tomorrow?
For her birthday dinner I told her she could have whatever she wants to eat so we are having cookie crisp cereal and doritos yum lol The problem is for her cake she wants a chocolate cake without frosting any ideas on how to make a cake with no frosting fun? and possibly taste good? She is having a big party later so I don't want to make a huge deal out of this but I don't want a disgusting dry cake.....help!!!!
Answers:
Give her some ice cream with the cake.
Oh, and wish her a happy birthday for me sugar :-)
put whipped cream for the top. wait till the cake it completely cooled and then you can add food coloring and sprinkles to make it fun. or you can do chocolate pound cake. that does not require frosting
u could put sprinkels inside of the cake and then get those big sprinkel letter things and put HAPPY BIRTHDAY and whatever ya daughters name is and candels
Happy b-day to your daughter

When completely cool drizzle cake with Chocolate Glaze.
For Chocolate Glaze: Combine all ingredients in bowl and beat by hand until smooth.

Do a chocolate fudge swirl cake. It's not frosthing, but at least you'll have a moist fudge throughout the cake. You can also add chocolate or peanut butter chips too.

For my daughter's birthday I made her a twinkie cake, we took plenty of chocolate twinkies and stood them on one end, we continued to make circles or upright twinkies one inside the other and used a foam circle to make the inside circle slightly taller, then held it all together with a beautiful ribbon tied around the entire cake. She loved it. It worked pretty nice at her daycare because nothing was wasted, each kid took one or two twinkies each. I've also heard of a milky way cake, which is a chocolate cake covered in melted milk caramel and chocolate, some moms will swear they melt actual milky ways and cover the cake with them them.
A chocolate bundt cake does not have to be dry, you can make it moist by carefully pouring diluted sweetened cocoa on the top of the bundt cake and it will be absorbed, or some fruit juice. Any sweet liquid will do.
Please tell her "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" from me.
French Chocolate Cake
"This is typical of a French homemade cake - dense, dark, and delicious. The texture is very different from a sponge cake, and it is excellent dusted with confectioners' sugar and served with whipped cream."
INGREDIENTS
* 1/2 cup white sugar
* 10 (1 ounce) squares semi-sweet chocolate
* 3/4 cup unsalted butter, cubed
* 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
* 5 eggs, separated
* 1/4 cup sifted all-purpose flour
* 1 dash cream of tartar
* salt to taste
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Generously grease a 9 1/2 inch springform cake tin. Dust with a little sugar, and tap out the excess.
2. Set aside 3 tablespoons of the sugar. Place the chocolate, butter, and remaining sugar in a large, heavy-based pan. Cook over moderate heat until the chocolate and butter have melted, and the sugar has dissolved. Remove the pan from heat. Stir in vanilla, and leave the mixture to cool slightly.
3. Beat the egg yolks into the chocolate mixture one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the flour.
4. In a large bowl, scrupulously clean and grease free, beat the egg whites until foamy. Add cream of tartar and salt, and beat to stiff peaks. Sprinkle reserved sugar over egg whites, and beat until stiff and glossy. Beat 1/3 of the egg whites into the chocolate mixture, then carefully fold in the remaining whites. Carefully pour batter into the prepared tin, and tap the tin gently to release air bubbles.
5. Bake for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, until well risen and a skewer inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. If the cake appears to rise unevenly, rotate after 30 to 35 minutes. If the cake starts to crack or become too brown, place a piece of foil lightly over the top. Transfer the cake to a wire cooling rack, and remove the sides of the springform tin. Cool completely, and then remove the base. Do not attempt to remove the cake before it 's completely cooled as this cake is very fragile.
make it like a brownie type of thing.
everybody LOVES brownies...
mmm
Some of these people have offered great chocolate cake recipes so I don't think I need to give you another one. I suggest picking your favourite super-moist devil's food cake recipe and impregnate it with some yummy cream-cheese filling:
1 pack (8 oz) cream cheese (e.g. Philadelphia)
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg, well beaten
juice and rind of half a lemon
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Cream the cheese and sugar. Add egg and lemon. Continue to beat with mixer until smooth. Then use a spatula to fold the choc chips in.
Grease pan and transfer the cake batter. Then add cream cheese mix by the spoonfuls and let it sink to the bottom. Conceal traces on the top of the cake with cake batter, using a spatula. Bake as per normal.
What is your daughter's hobby/favourite toy? Sculpt/mold the cake into the shape of that item, or decorate the top of your cake with flowers or action figures.
ICE CREAM EAT IT WITH THE CAKE. plain vanilla. and serve the cake warm. and put some hot fudge on. and whip cream
