Need help deciding dinner sides - Grilling out tonight!?!

Question:

Need help deciding dinner sides - Grilling out tonight!?

Need help deciding dinner sides. We're grilling out some nice thick cut rib-eyes & my sweetie says I always make too many sides so I'm trying to narrow it down to just 1 or 2. I'm stuck between loaded baked potatos, grilled corn on the cob, grilled asparagus, tossed salad. I know we'll be having homemade garlic bread so what do you think would go best?

Thanks

Go with the potatoes and asparagus! Sounds yummy! How do you grill asparagus?? Would love the recipe!

potato and tossed salad

I think the asparagus and grilled corn. And if you can, baked potatoes.

I love corn on the cob.
Go for that.

Corn on the cob and the grilled asparagus

I say just go with the corn on the cob and garlic bread, that sounds good.

I would go with the grilled asparagus and a tossed salad.

Nice cool Tuna macaroni salad...

Definitely the corn. Nothing is better than grilled corn with rib-eye. Also, you can never have too many sides!

I did steak last night with corn on the cob and biscuits ...put butter on the corn then wrap the corn in paper towels wettened with milk and cover with foil...only cook for like 10 min...it will be the best corn you've ever tasted!

I would personally go with the potatos and asparagus.

Grilled corn on the cob of course!! Also a nice green veggie is always a good idea.....try some sugar snap peas tossed in olive oil and add a bit of minced garlic. Yummy!

Asparagus is my favorite side with grilling out.
But I don't grill them. I steam them, chill them in the freezer for a few, and then simmer them on the stove top with butter and garlic. Delicious!

If you want a 2nd side, of your choices, I'd go with loaded BP.

salad and corn

I would go with the baked potatoed and grilled corn. It will keep you fuller longer.

YUM , sounds really good, I think grilled corn on the cob and a cesaer salad would be really good especially with garlic bread. have a wonderful dinner!!!!!!!!

Grilled Corn on the Cob.

Grilled asparagus and baked potatoes.

To grill the asparagus i mix olive oil, crushed garlic and lemon juice and then baste the asparagus. It's awesome!

Corn and asparagus. I consider corn a starch so I never make a potatoe or rice with it.

corn on the cob!

you'll be doing alot of work anyways, and this one is the easiest to prepare. plus it'll make the entire meal utensil free! :)

I would go for the corn on the cob and even though it is not on your list you could try grilled potatoes. Dice them, add your favorite seasonings and maybe somethings like red peppers and green peppers and onions, wrap them in foil and grill them. They are awesome.

The loaded backed potatoes and grilled corn on the cob!!!! That sounds so good!

A spinach salad.

the laoded baked potatos and grilled corn sounds sooo good
i want some!!! lol

My thought has always been to keep the sides simple if the main dish is complicated, and if you have a simple main dish, like grilled ribeye, you can then have a fancier side dish.

I would go for the grilled corn on the cob and a nice salad. I also consider the corn to be a starch and hesitate to serve it with potatoes. Mr. Datatech considers corn a vegetable, so he will often serve it with potatoes.

grillied corn garlic bread
