Other than the obvious, what use can I get from an asparagus pot?!

Question:

Other than the obvious, what use can I get from an asparagus pot?

I have an asparagus pot that's narrow and tall with a lid and a steamer basket. I would like to use it for something else other than asparagus or it seems to be a planter. Thanks for your suggestions.

Answers:
In a pinch, I've stuck mine in the freezer and then used it as a wine bucket.

Being a former chef, I would use it for a pasta pot or anything you cook that needs to be drained, veg, perogies and other small pastas.

I had one for years, sold it in a yard sale, I have not got the space now, even blanching peaches for jam or beans for freezing.

Well, your question made me curious....what else would you cook in an asparagus pot??? I did a little searching and read some reviews at Amazon.com. (People RAVED about their asparagus pots!!!) The reviewers almost all said that it was perfect for making a couple of ears of corn on the cob, hard boiling eggs or steaming other veggies such as carrots, broccoli or artichokes. Sounds like a pretty handy thing to have to me!
