How Lond Do You put apotatoe in the oven to bake and at what temp?

Answers:
Wash the potato well.
Put in the oven at 450 degrees for an hour or so.
Best potato you will ever eat.Nice crispy skin.
Do not use any oils or foils.

500 degrees for about 45-60 minutes

An hour or so (potatoes are fairly flexible) at about 350 degrees f (again, temp can vary some so you can cook them with your main dish if necessary).

I usually am in a hurry so I put the oven on 400, and I put a clean metal nail through each potato, it helps to heat through quicker and depending on the size of the potato it usualy only takes about 20 mins.

Wash and poke the potato a few times with a fork.

Take a sheet of plastic wrap and smear butter about 1/3 on one side. Salt and pepper the butter

Wrap the potato in the buttered wrap and place in the microwave.

Press the "potato" button on the microwave and wait until it beeps. (usually about 7-10 minutes)

Eat.

if you are asking about how to bake a potato in the oven... simple, wash it then take a fork and poke holes in it (all over) then wrap it in foil put oven on 350* and bake for about one hour or until a fork will go into it easy, can put on oven rack while baking a pot roast or something else...

350 degrees F for half an hour if it is a smallish potatoe
350 degrees F for 45 minutes if it is a medium sized potatoe
350 degrees F for 60 minutes if it is a large potatoe

I use 350F as my standard that way the whole meal can cook together and you don't need to worry about burning the meat, etc.

if you wash the tatoe, then prick it a few times, then rub a bit of salt over it it will end up really crispy on the outside & fluffy in the middle, timing depends on size but the longer you can make yourslf wait the better it'll be (within reason!) oh and just whack your oven up as high as it will go!

the perfect restaurant style baked potato:

oven at 425
scrub potato and prick with fork
put out a small sheet of foil big enough to enclose tato
put tato on top of foil, drizzle with olive oil and a generous amout of salt, rock or kosher salt is best but regualr table salt will do fine
seal up the potato in the foil
bake one hour
remove from oven, remove from foil, put on a small baking pan, return to oven till skin is crispy

dig in.

Preheat oven to 350. Wash potato throughly, then rub butter or oleo all over potato and wrap in foil. Bake for 1 hour.
