Tomato-Cucumber Salad
Serves 4-6.

1-1.5 lbs. campari or other small vine-ripened tomatoes, quartered
2 small-medium cucumbers, peeled, halved lengthwise, seeded and sliced thinly
1/2-1 small onion, halved and sliced thinly
1 clove garlic, minced
3/4 c. red wine vinegar
1/3 c. olive or vegetable oil
2 t. chopped fresh basil or 1 t. dried basil
1/2 t. freshly ground black pepper

Place the sliced tomatoes, cucumbers and onion into a large mixing bowl. Measure the garlic, vinegar, oil, basil and pepper into a small bowl and whisk well to combine. Pour the vinaigrette over the vegetables and toss well to coat. The salad may be served immediately or can be stored in an airtight container and refrigerated until serving. The flavors will increase in intensity the longer the salad marinates. Tip: to seed the cucumbers, cut the cukes in half lengthwise and using a small spoon, scrape down the center of each half to remove the seeds.

Corn on the cob, or a nice cuke/tomato salad. Also, jalapeno cornbread goes well.

slaw, baked beans, broccoli salad, potato salad, pasta salad, corn salad

Potato Salad of course!! Also baked beans, corn on the cob, macaroni and cheese, and coleslaw. Don't forget the beer(if you drink that is) lol!!

If you are looking for something a little different, do a red-cabbage slaw, or a german potato salad. They both go great with barbecue, but are a little off the beaten path! Fried corn is also great, or marinated green beans!

bread, cole slaw, baked beans, corn, and more barbeque

chips, veggie tray, potato salad, pasta salad, baked beans, fruit tray, etc.

Cole slaw, potato salad, barbecue beans , corn on cob, cucumber salad, oven fried potatoes, and zucchini on the grill . Also, as a side, I like to slice really good tomatoes, then I spread mayo on them, sprinkle on some onions (small chop), some chives (fresh or freeze dried), salt, and pepper.
If you like bacon, you can sprinkle on bacon bits. Put these tomatoes on a bed of lettuce. Looks great and tastes good!!

Roasted Corn; Taco Salad; Fruit Salad; and Baked Beans.

Potato salad, chips, macaroni salad, fruit salad

Baked beans, corn on the cob, cornbread muffins, and i usually make a nice big pot off greens for something different

baked beans, Cole slaw (will go with anything) potato salad.I'm a basic cook so I have not thing fancy but these are good no matter what kind of meat you are using.

Well, the spicier your bbq sauce, the more contrast you want. I'd suggest a nice cole slaw and some corn on the cob with plenty of real melted butter. Perhaps a nice big helping of baked beans too. Then apricot cobbler for dessert. Leave the beer for later in the evening around the ol' campfire, and have a non-alcoholic choice for the teetotalers in your crowd.

grilled corn on the cob
broccoli salad
layered salad
baked beans
cole slaw

Terri hit it right on the head, I say what she says.

Oh my god, I'm hungry. Potato salad is my most favorite bbq treat. There are a zillion different ways to make potato salad, so you could find something out of the ordinary or go tradtional here. Watermelon salad with mint is good, too.

Village Salad,
Cut in large chunks - tomatoes ,cucumber green pepper & bermuda onion. Add a jar of kalamata olives and a bucket of feta cheese,2 parts balsamic viniger and 1 part olive oil. MIx and serve.

baked bean garlic bread corn cob

Make some Jalapeno Poppers.
Slice Jalapeno lengthwise in half, de-vein and seed
put some cream cheese in one half, wrap bacon around it and set w/ a toothpick. Repeat w/ each half, sounds like a lot of work but these are great
We throw ours on the grill and cook until the bacon is done.
Everytime we BBQ which is at least twice a week I make some of these, everyone that has tried them thought they were great and expect them now.

Cornbread made with creamed corn - pretty good accompaniment.

well there are several sides to barbaque my favorites are potato salad, baked beans, toss salad and tuna salad/

Potatoe,Macaroni,Coleslaw and Leafy Salad's are always a "Hit" at any Barbeque! Also things like Deviled Egg's and Pasta Rotini Salads are also cool too. Most people are "traditionalist's" when it comes to a Barbeque! Keep it original and simple, present it nicely on Beds of Lettuce or Red Cabbage in Salad Bowl's...and maybe some sprig's of Parsley and Green Onion for decoration! You have no limit's but your Imagination!
