That's what I'm eating but I have a ham hock in mine, good stuff. A little hot sauce is nice also.

cornbread, yes. Lima beans, no. My mom sometimes puts stewed tomatoes or salsa in them along with the ham hock.

I have always hated lima beans. Other kinds of beans are fine, I just have always hated lima beans.

I like cornbread, not so much the lima beans though. That sounds like southern food. are you from the south?

That sounds delicious. I usually put sausage in my beans. U got u some REAL SOUL food!

Yup a lil hot sauce or a lil tony C's oh yeah

Like them both. Have a restaurant in our area that serves lima beans with little dumplings in it----it's a vegetable side on the plate and soup when the liquid is added and put in a bowl!! It's soooooo good!! I like the sweet cornbread!!

I myself love just about every bean thats made...Cornbread with brown and white beans is good too..

I'll eat cornbread with any bean soup, and I mean "any" as long as there is enough juice to soak the cornbread. My favorites are black-eyed peas..pinto beans...and lima beans....those will make a meal it it's self. Throw a little bacon or sausage and onion in with it...it's heaven.
After that ..peas...green beans...chick peas...garbanzos...etc..make a good snack..but your guests will "snub" it. Hey, cold re-fried beans on a small slice of cornbread makes a good appetizer. Make sure there's some salsa and some melted monterrey jack cheese available. You'l be the hostess of the year.
