How do you store fondant?!

Question:

How do you store fondant?

How long can it be kept and in what type of place?

Answers:
You can keep it in the fridge for probably a week or two. If you want to keep it for longer, freeze it. Roll it up in a log shape within wax paper or plastic wrap after it solidifies a bit to make it easier to use after its frozen.

If I knew what it is....I might ask my friends. Never heard of it. Can you tell us the recipe?

There are 2 types: rolled fondant (for covering cakes) and fondant for glazing; they are not quite the same. I believe rolled fondant needed to be wrapped tightly (plastic wrap or a ziplock bag) but I can't remember if it needed to be refrigerated or not. Icing fondant can be wrapped and left out. I used to work in a hotel and we kept a big block of fondant out on a shelf, wrapped, and it kept for weeks - until we ran out. I don't know if this is proper, but it worked fine.
