Answers:
finely chopped onion and carrot, sweated with a couple of cloves of garlic. tin of tomatoes and chopped mushrooms. dash of balsamic vinegar, oregano and spoon of honey. simmer for about an hour. delicious.

i put mine in the crock pot with grape jelly and chili sauce, sounds gross, but it really is good. I use a jar of each. Put on low heat for 4-6 hours.

I use tomato puree, either tomato pasta sauce or tin tomato's and fresh basil salt pepper garlic and a little olive oil. Cook onions til soft in Olive oil add everything else cook for 5-10 Min's. I got that recipe off a Italian chef on telly

prego is great!!!! i like it much better that ragu

Tomato Sauce:

2 tbsp olive oil
1 med onion, chopped
3 cloves of garlic, chopped fine
2 cans plum tomatoes
2 tsp oregano
4 tsp basil
1 bay leaf
salt & peper to taste

In a large pot, on medium heat add oil, onion and garlic, cook till soft. Add tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt and pepper, simmer 1 hours. You may have to crush the tomatoes with a spoon.

Meatballs

1/2 ground beef (lean best)
1/2 ground pork (not sausage meat)
3 slices white bread (fresh), crust removed
1 egg
1/4 grated parmasan cheese
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

Mix meat, tear bread in very small pieces, add to meat with egg, cheese, salt and pepper, mix well. Line a cookie sheet with tin foil (easier clean up), make meats ball, place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350f until cooked (time will depend on how big you make the balls). When cooked add to tomatoe sauce.

Have with pasta, make a meatball sandwich on good Italine rolls.

Tomatoe?

Cup Onion

2 TBSPoon Olive Oil

Six Tomatoes

Whatever you want to taste ... e.g. chilli pepper salt maybe oregano..

Score the fresh tomatoes and blach them for about a minute in boiling water until the skins lossen and you can peel and the chopped up peeled tomatoes..

Fry the onions till goden brown in a pan and then add chopped tomatoes and the basil and seasoning and simmer and reduce for 30 minutes and add a little water if necessary.

This is a good way my mom has done it
-puts meatballs (usually frozen store bought, but homemade work!) in a slow cooker
-pours bar-b-que (or other bottle of that sort of souce, ex:teriyaki etc) on them and lets them soak up the sauce all day! :)
