What can I substitute for eggs in cake recipe?!

Question:

What can I substitute for eggs in cake recipe?

I have a boxed cake mix and was wondering if I could substitute mayo for the 2 eggs and how much to use. I have no eggs of any kind and need to cook cake today! help me!

Answers:
Absolutely no chance. The only thing feasible is a mixture of curdled weasel milk and ground down barbecued goat beard.
I'm afraid you've had it. Cakes are bad for you anyhow. So by not making it, you are actually doing yourself a favour. Go and snare yourself a growler instead, they're of more nutritional value.

You cannot substitute eggs in a cake.... You have to use eggs..... won't cook and fluff out if not. It will be like a baked pudding..

you can't substatute eggs. sorry. eggs are an important binder for your cake and also give it the light airy texture. (depending how long you mix it) i suggest you get your booty to the store and buy 3 eggs for your cake mix

Use a blob of mayo about the size of an egg for each egg that you need. Also I saw that the top contributer said to use a half banana for each egg if you don't have mayo. Either should work.

I have done it for the veg. oil. It makes it very moist.
Maybe try Approx. 1 tbs per egg. ? Good Luck

yeah you can use Mayo I tried it once i think i used like 1/4 of a cup .

Ok, this sounds weird, but we make cakes like this all the time.

Pour the cake mix into the bowl and add a CAN (12 oz) of Pop. No other ingredients are needed. Mix it and bake it. Sometimes you need just a tad longer than normal- that depends on your oven though.
We use diet pop, but regular pop also works. Just one other note - grease your pan really well. If you are going to make cupcakes, spray the liner. If you don't do this it will stick.

I don't know about mayo, but have you tried using 1-2 bananas? It may make the cake somewhat denser, but it tastes excellent. Or you could add two tablespoons of applesauce.

You can substitute for eggs. My aunt is allergic to eggs and the substitute. This website tells alot about substitutes and eggs are included in it. http://www.ag.ndsu.edu/pubs/yf/foods/he1...

This is a tried n tested thing - definately worth a try - for every 1 egg take a cup of yogurt . Eggs r mainly used to make the batter moist - the yogurt serves the same purpose!

MAYONNISE [NOTHING BUT EGGS]

I thought it was apple sauce
