Does anyone know how to heat a Hot Pocket without all the cheese spilling out?!

Question:

Does anyone know how to heat a Hot Pocket without all the cheese spilling out?

It's a great mystery of the universe! How does one microwave a Hot Pocket (or similarly sealed food) without all the gooey inside leaking out all over?

Answers:
Well...I know of a way to keep the cheese from getting all over the microwave...I don't think it'll help. I just wrap mine in a peice of paper towel and all the cheese stays in place.

That way I don't have to clean.

Trial and error

Try flipping it over half way through the microwaving process... this helps a little bit when I do it.

I usually poke it with a fork a few times to make holes for the steam to excape. I also watch it closley & if it looks like its going to blow i stop the micro for a second to let the steam excape and re start :)

Cut it in half and let it cool.
That will help the cheese solidify.

And by the way, you shouldn't eat those too often.
They are loaded with chemicals and are very fattening.
Its just a factory produced chemical filled version of a mini panini, which you can make on your own and it takes just a minute.

yep let it sit in the microwave for an additonal minute after it has cooked and the cheese will harden back up.

i use a combo technique and mw and toaster oven-mw just til inside is hot-15-25 seconds, then toast in taoster oven for 4 minutes for crisp and brown crust.

I microwave it on a lower power, for example instead of the normal, say, 100 power I will microwave it at 60 or so (I do not know how powerful your microwave is, they differ among one another so you just might need to experiment a little. Your microwave sounds very powerful to me). It might take longer, but it is worth it. Also, half-way through the microwaving use a fork on the top side to allow the steam an escape route.
