How do you make spaghetti sauce into pizza sauce?
Answers:
Add some tomato paste to the sauce to thicken it, also add some oregano and basil and a touch of sugar to counteract the acidity of the tomato past. Really the sauces are not that much different, it's really only the thickness and that is where the tomato paste comes in to play. Good luck!
Just like Mac&Cheese everybody has their own recipe. The two sauces are the same with one exception, spaghetti sauce you put Parmesan on it, pizza sauce you put it in it.
Don't add any meat. Just have tomatoes and seasonings. Cook with a little olive oil and add onions. Simmer for about 2 hours. I hope it's good. Also add garlic too.
You open up the can or bottle, spoon it on to some pizza, swirl it around, and call it pizza sauce rather then pasta sauce. Thats what i do, and if do say so myself, ragu makes an exellent pasta... er, pizza sauce. You noe whats good too (even if it does sound a lil gross) Use leftover pasta sauce w/ meat it it (ground beef, turkey ect what ever you like to put int when you use) and put it on you pizza like that instead of using pepperoni or ham or w/e.
If you are asking how to thicken it you could just reduce it or sift in a little four, stirring often. Remember it will thicken more as it cools
I have used it as it is but you could add some more Italian spices if you like spice.
