banana bread is usually kinda plain.
bananas don't have a lot of flavor.
what can be added to make it more flavorful?


Answers: Be sure to use bananas that are over-ripe, they have a more intense flavor. Cinnamon, allspice, clove, nut meg, or pumpkin pie spice all work well to liven up the banana bread. Walnuts in it, struesel on top chocolate chips. it's surprisingly good. Beer battered banana bread. SWEET BANANA BREAD
INGREDIENTS
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 (3 ounce) package non-instant vanilla pudding mix
2/3 cup white sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
2 tablespoons milk
1 1/3 cups mashed ripe banana
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
DIRECTIONS
In a small bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and vanilla pudding mix. In a large mixing bowl, beat sugar and shortening until light, scraping sides of the bowl often. Add the eggs one at a time, beating smooth after each addition. Mix in the milk.
Add flour mixture and mashed bananas alternately to creamed mixture, beating until smooth after each addition. Fold in nuts if desired. Pour batter into a lightly greased 8x4 inch loaf pan.
Bake in a cold, (non-preheated) oven set to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bake for 50 minutes, then cover with foil to prevent burning and bake for additional 10 to 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the crown comes out clean. Leave in pan for 10 minutes, then remove from pan and cool.

3 cups plain flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans or macadamia)
2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/4 cups vegetable oil
2 cups mashed bananas
1 (8 oz.) can of crushed pineapple (well drained)

In a large bowl combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and cinnamon; stir in nuts. Set aside.
Combine remaining ingredients in another mixing bowl; blend well. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just moist. Pour into 2 greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 350° for approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Check center of loaf with toothpick (I use an uncooked spaghetti strand) and if it comes out clean, its done. Cool 10 minutes before removing from the pan.
Then hire armed guards to keep the loaves safe until it is time to eat. Happy baking! Banana Bread can have lots of flavor! it sounds like you are not fond of the banana flavor but the more bananas you use and the darker the skin of the bananas the more flavorful and sweeter it will be. Add brown sugar along with white and some vanilla and cinnamon. There are some great banana bread recipes on allrecipes.com or recipezaar.com.
