Dose anyone have an awesome crab dip recipe that you personally like to make and eat?
Answers: CREAMY CRAB DIP
A creamy crab dip, made with good crab meat, sour cream and cream cheese, Ranch dressing mix, and other seasonings.
INGREDIENTS:
2 small packages (3 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon chopped green onion
few drops hot sauce
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 envelope Ranch Dressing mix (.4 ounce)
salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste, optional
6 to 8 ounces crab meat, drained and chopped
PREPARATION:
Beat cream cheese with sour cream until well blended. Blend in the green onion, hot sauce, paprika, dressing mix. Stir in crab. Taste and adjust seasonings with salt and pepper, if desired. Chill until serving time.
OLD BAY HOT CRAB DIP
Dip the Old Bay way!
Ingredients:
1 cup mayonnaise
1 1/2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
1 1/2 tsp. Old Bay Seasoning, plus a dash more
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1 lb. lump or backfin crabmeat
Instructions:
Combine mayonnaise, 3/4 cup cheese, 1 1/2 tsp. Old Bay Seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, and dry mustard. Carefully fold in crabmeat. Spoon mixture into a 1 quart casserole dish and top with the remaining cheese. Sprinkle with a dash of Old Bay Seasoning. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until it begins to bubble around edges. Serve with bread, crackers or pita chips. Serves 8 to 10.
LAYERED CRAB DIP
Ingredients:
1 (8oz.) package cream cheese
1 Tbsp. grated onion
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 cup chili sauce
1/2 lb. crabmeat
2 Tbsp. fresh parsley
Instructions:
Mix cheese, onion, Worcestershire and lemon juice together. Spread in a serving dish. Spread chili sauce over top. Spread crab over chili sauce. Sprinkle with parsley.
SUPERB CRAB DIP
Ingredients:
1 lb. crab meat (backfin or lump)
2 8oz. packages of cream cheese
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. dry mustard
2 tsp. onion salt
2 tsp. confectioners sugar
1 cup mayonnaise
grated cheddar cheese for topping
Instructions:
Mix all ingredients except the crab. Gently fold in crab. Microwave until heated. Top with grated cheese and microwave just long enough to melt. Serve with crackers or toasted french bread. Try our crab dip mix.

8 ounces sour cream
8 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
1/4 cup finely chopped onions
1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
1 lb imitation crabmeat, chunks broken up
chopped fresh parsley (optional)
crackers or cut up vegetables
In small mixer bowl beat sour cream and cream cheese with an electric mixer on low speed until creamy.
Stir in celery, onion, and lemon juice, if desired.
Fold in crabmeat.
Garnish with parsley, if desired.
Serve with crackers or cut up veggies. I love crab! To get the best crab dip possible try to get fresh lump crab. Make sure to check it for left over claws or shells or it will not be well ingested. Warm crab dips are awesome comfort food, but you could just as easily make a cool crab dip with mayo, salt, pepper and crackers. I've been told by a lot of East Coasters to add some Old Bay Seasoning, but it's an acquired taste to me. You could just as easily add cayenne, hot sauce or ketchup.
If you want to make a hot crab dip, you have to use cream cheese (this is a personal favorite). 8 ounces cream cheese (Neufchatel or light is fine, too), 1/2 cup crab, salt, pepper and cayenne to taste, and one small onion, 2 - 3 pearl onions or a small shallot chopped finely mixed and then baked until bubbly is fantastic. Spread it on some crusty bread and enjoy!

1 med yellow onion
3cloves garlic
saute until soft on medium
add a couple tablespoons of heavy cream and 8-10 oz. of room temp cream cheese
whisk until smooth
let it cool and add 2 cans crab, cilantro, basil, chives, hot sauce, cayenne, salt and pepper
serve with crackers or sourdough loaf. Chilli Crab and Tomato Dip:
2 cans crab meat (drained)
200 gr. neufchatel cheese
2 tbs. chilli sauce
2ts. tomato paste
1ts. grated lemon rind
2ts. lemon juice
1 small onion ( grated finely)
spring onions
1 tomato, seeded & finely chopped
Beat the neufchatel cheese until smooth, then add the crab meat, chilli sause, 2ts. tomato paste, grated lemon rind, lemon juice and onion.salt and pepper. Mix well. Garnish with spring onion, tomatos and chilli.
