Answers: One pound tenderloin is kind of small. And a tenderloin usually doesnt have the fat content needed to smoke. You should get a picnic cut. (Shoulder) But if you are going to smoke the tenderloin, I would guess at least 4-5 hours. The problem with a cut like that is there isnt enough fat content for it to cook long enough for "pulled pork" without it drying out. If its possible to get a better cut, go for it. If not, just remember it might be a little dryer than you might like. A picnic cut could cook for twenty hours and be perfect.

Maybe you might want to throw a brisket on there just in case! from my experience it depends on the flavor you want out of the meat....using charcoal and wood chips....DONT KEEP the chips on and smoking the whole time....let the charcoal do some of the work by itself...so only add chips about every 45 minutes or so....i would but it on for about 2 hours then take it inside and put it in the oven to bring it up to tempreture...I have an upright smoker and i have made modefications and still cant get meat up to temp.....so keep a thermometer in it then switch it to the oven....(i have never done such a small amount in a smoker, you might want to get some chickens so your not waisting so much charcoal and wood..leave the chickens on for about 3.5 hours then take them into the oven)
