Hello there,
I am currently cooking a chocolate cake, and I have chocolate icing to go with it, but was wondering how much coffee I should put in to make the icing a mocha flavour?


Answers: per one cup of chocolate icing, i'd say to put about a teaspoon, but that is coming from a coffee-loving person like myself. just gradually add some until you achieve the right flavor. MOCHA ICING

3 tbsp. butter
3 c. confectioners' sugar
1 egg yolk
1/4 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. strong coffee

Cream butter and 1/2 cup sugar. Add egg yolk and salt; beat until fluffy. Alternate the rest of sugar and coffee until the right consistency for spreading MOCHA ICING

3/4 pound unsalted butter -- (3 sticks) room temperature
4 1/2 cups powdered sugar (1 1/2 pounds)
1/3 cup heavy cream -- up to 1/2 cup
3 tablespoons instant coffee powder or crystals
2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt three entire cans of dark roost
