Off the top of your head- name as many dishes as you can that could contain hamburger meat?
We were given A LOT of hamburger meat. I would like to have all of your ideas on things to do with it. Of course I know the basics like spaghetti, chili, taco salad- I would just like to pick your brains and be able to come back to this question for future reference.
Thanks for your help!

shepherd's pie
topping for pizza
sloppy joes
tacos
7 layer dip
stir fry
beef veg soup
american chop suey
loose meat sandwiches
salisbury steaks
meat loaf
mix into mac and cheese
spanish rice
beef stroganoff What a crazy question. I can use ground beef in any recipe I choose. You name it. Except for vegetarian recipes. Goulash, burritos, meatloaf, premade hamburger patties, meatballs. Also, check www.recipezaar.com and www.allrecipe.com. These sites have great recipes and you can just put an ingredient in and get a list of different recipes. They will even list them by their ratings. Good Luck. If you have that much meat, forget about dishes like "spaghetti sauce with meat" because it won't use that much.
Meatloaf, hamburger, etc.
Suggest you freeze what you can't use in the next few days. Make up a bunch of patties, if you like burgers, and separate them with wax paper, and freeze them, and pull them as you need them. Shephards pie, bridies- a scottish pastry filled with seasoned ground beef and veggies, keema muttar( a favorite of mine at the Indian restaurant) spicy beef and peas. another scottish favourite is mince and tatties which translated is ground beef in beef stock marinated with diced onions and peas and served over potatoes, typically boiled, can be any way you like tho. meatballs, meatloaf, enchiladas, goulash, ravioli, hamburgers *stuffed cabbage rolls (wolfgang puck's recipe on foodtv.com is AMAZING!!!!!)
*SOS: cook 1 lb hamburger w/ onions, drain. Add 1 can cream of mushroom soup. Serve over white rice w/ toast.
*Pizza pasta bake: in a large casserole combine 1 lb package dry noodles (penne, rotini, wheels, whatever), one jar of marinara, i jar of water, cooked ground beef, and whatever pizza toppings you like, top w/ mozzerella, bake 350 30 min.
*chili
*chili cheese dip (velveeta, beef, can of diced tomatoes, chili powder, diced cooked onion)
* Meatballs, swedish meatballs ( a good recipe I use is my meatloaf recipe, cooke em in a pan, and use Classico Sun Dried Tomato Alfredo and serve w/ noodles...)
Hope that helps!! Go to recipezaar.com and put in "ground beef" or "hamburger" in the search engine, and get ready......I just did that and the results came back with over 3,700 recipes.....Is that enough???? Everything from old standbys to things I as a professional chef would NEVER even have dreamed about!!!! Enjoy, and happy eating!!!

Place all of the ingredients in a large bowl, except for the bacon. Now, here comes to fun part. Pretend you're a little kid again and squish everything together. It fells real gooey between your fingers. After you have had enough fun place half the mixture in a small rectangular baking dish. Place the slices of cheese on to the mixture and then place the rest of the mixture on top of the cheese.
If you choose you can place the bacon on top of the meatloaf. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the mixture in the oven and bake for about 1 hour.
Remove from oven and allow to cool for a couple of minutes.

Shepards Pie is a really easy recipe to conjure up. I'm enclosing the simplified version so you can make it with ease and comfort:
1 sirloin steak cut into bite sized pieces or 1 lb hamburger
1/2 yellow onion, diced
1 package frozen stewing veges, thawed
2 jars beef gravey
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 cup beef broth
2 yukon gold potatoes
3 T butter
1/4 - 1/2 cup milk, heated
salt and pepper to taste
Season meat with salt and pepper and brown in skillet with a little olive oil. Brown onion and remove. In mixing bowl, place meat, onion, veges, gravey, and beef broth. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and place in baking dish. Dice yukon gold potatoes and boil in salted water until fork tender. Drain and mash with butter, milk, and salt and pepper. Top meat mixture with potatoes and dot with butter. You can also add some shredded cheddar cheese as well if you want. Bake for 1 hour in a 350 degree oven, or until golden brown and bubbling.
