What is a good base for any standard marinade for chicken or pork?

I notice most marinades contain common ingredients like vinegar or olive oil, then it varies from there. Anyway, what are the base ingredients to any good marinade. Thanks so much.


Answers: any good marinade starts with an acid, oil, salt , pepper, and whatever spices you like Italian dressing is popular on chicken. You know what works like a charm? Melt butter, mix it in with some olive oil and whatever seasonings you want, garlic, onion powder, rosemary, oregano, so forth. Refrigerate covered for one hour! Muy bien! Soy Sauce, spices to taste. Pesto sauce for chicken (as a marinade-alone)

You can make Sesame chicken and the sesame seeds take the place of a marinade olive oil, balsamic vinegar, ketchup, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, A-1, pinch of salt,
teaspoon of butter. moicrowave for 1 minute to melt butter. 1 cup oil

1 teaspoon ground ginger
1-2 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup soya sauce
2 tablespoons honey
