Where can I find lentils at the grocery?!

Question:

Where can I find lentils at the grocery?

I want to make a lentil and bean soup. I got the idea from a book, and am not sure where in the grocery to find lentils. I know from reading that it's some kind of vegetable like a pea, but do you buy them dried or in the produce section?

Answers: No, not in the produce section. They are with the bags of dried beans, like kidney beans, lima beans, and split peas. They are dried and last a long long long time. They are usually quite inexpensive! they are in the rice aisle. or you can go to a middle eastern/mediterranean grocery store.... I don't cook them myself, but they're usually in the pasta / rice / dried bean section, not the produce section. Yuo will find them by the dried beans and rice. You would find it with the beans, in the dried section. In my grocery store, it is near the pasta and rice. Sometimes you can find them with the canned vegtables as well. dried lentils are found in the aisle with legumes. near the dried beans, etc. They are in the dry bean section usually in the vegetable aisle of the grocery store.
