Question:

Does anyone know a good beef stroganoff recipe like add ingredients and amounts?

Answers: 1/2 to 2 pounds top sirloin roast, trimmed
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 cup beef bouillon or broth
1 medium onion, quartered and sliced
3 tablespoons sour cream, room temperature

Cut beef into narrow 2-inch long strips about 1/2-inch thick. Sprinkle meat with salt and pepper. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a medium saucepan. Blend in flour; gradually stir in beef broth, stirring and cooking until thickened and smooth. Heat remaining 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 tablespoon olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat; quickly brown meat strips and onion on all sides. Add meat and onions to beef sauce. Cover and cook on low for 10 minutes; stir in sour cream and heat through but do not boil. Serve over buttered noodles or rice. I'll probably get thumbs down for this answer from the avid cooks out there, but sometimes simple is better.

Hamburger Helper makes a "Beef Stroganoff". If you buy a box of this, you can follow the directions on the box. I quite often add diced onion to the ground beef when I'm cooking it. You can also add bell peppers if you like.

The only ingredients you need is beef, onion, milk and water. And the box of hamburger helper of course. A very easy recipe, and you can use either ground beef or thinly sliced beef:

1 lb. ground beef or sliced beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 Cup mushrooms
Brown the above together, drain the fat and add:

1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 soup can water or beef broth (I like to use the broth)
1 package dry onion soup mix
S&P to taste

Simmer together on medium low heat for 5-10 minutes and serve over rice or noodles. If desired, right before serving add a dollop or two of sour cream and mix in. 1 1/2 lb. beef stew meat
1 can cream mushroom soup
1 can milk (use the can from the soup)
salt/pepper
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 chopped onion
1 Tbsp. basil
1 tsp. garlic
1 lb bag of egg noodles
Put all of these ingredients (except the noodles) in a crock pot and cook for 6 -8 hrs. Pour over cooked noodles. OVEN-BAKED STROGANOFF
2 1/2 lbs. steak, cut in thin strips (good with venison steak)
1 lg. onion, thinly sliced
1 clove garlic, mashed
3 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. tomato paste
1/2 c. sour cream
5 tbsp. salad oil
2 c. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. dry red wine
1 bay leaf, crumbled
1/2 c. beef broth or consomme
In frying pan, brown strips of beef or venison in oil; transfer meat to 3 quart baking dish. Add remaining oil to drippings. Saute onion, garlic and mushrooms until limp. Remove pan from heat and add flour, salt, pepper, wine, tomato paste and bay leaf. Blend in beef broth. Stir until ingredients are blended. Pour over meat. Cover and bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until meat is tender. Remove casserole from oven. Gently stir in sour cream and serve over cooked wide noodles.
