If you are trying to substitute one for the other you will need a conversion chart to know what amounts to use all purpose flour with baking soda, baking powder and salt added The basic difference in those is that some have more glusoce in them then others. Self rising has baking soda in it. Self rising flour has baking soda and or baking powder in it. Whole wheat flour is not always bleached white like the rest, and is best for you because most of the food value of wheat flour is still there. self raising flour already has the right amt of baking powder added to it, so you can't go wrong
