Answers: I think it might be a little late to plan a desert if you're going somewhere today. I'd throw an icecream party and pick up a gallon of icecream, or a few quarts of different kinds, toppings like M&M's, nuts, gummy bears, coolwhip, fudge, sprinkles, spoons, and clear plastic cups to serve in since they look classy :)

Or get graham crackers, pudding/mousse, and sliced bananas. Layer them in a pan/dish with crackers on bottom, then bananas, then chocolate topping, then crackers, then bananas, then chocolate topping...Make at least 3 layers, go higher if you'd like. Use a dollop of cool whip on top. Also thicker pudding provides more stability and mousse tastes very rich! :)

If you're really short on time, chop up some fruit like peaches, strawberries, blueberries, melons, bananas, oranges and chill them. Get the Icecream hard shell topping and serve it in dipping dish for fruit and chocolate fondue.

I'm also a big fan of getting a frozen Sara Lee pound cake, or Pepperidge farm chocolate cake, served with sliced fresh berries and some coolwhip. Make a cake with white frosting and use blue berries and strawberries to make the American flag. Here is a link with pictures to help guide you. http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/im... sound like a plan? Red, White, and Blue Parfaits
1 1/2 cups fat-free, no-sugar-added frozen vanilla yogurt
1/3 cup fresh raspberries or no-sugar-added frozen
1/3 cup fresh blueberries or no-sugar-added frozen
2 perfect raspberries or blueberries for decoration

Remove the yogurt from the freezer and let stand for a few minutes to soften slightly. Divide the yogurt equally among 3 bowls. Add the raspberries to the yogurt in one bowl and mash to combine. Add the blueberries to the second bowl and mash to combine. Leave the third bowl of yogurt plain. Quickly layer the 3 colors of yogurt in the parfait glasses starting with the raspberry (red), the the plain (white), and topping with the blueberry (blue). Decorate with the perfect fruit. Serve at once. (If you make these before dinner, place the layered parfaits in the freezer to keep frozen. Decorate just before serving.
