Best way to cook a steak?!

Question:

Best way to cook a steak?

Answers: Quickly! if you want it medium rare. The only way you will get really tender flavoursome steak is to buy it from the Butchers. this has generally been hung for 21 days , the flavour is out of this world. The only steak (for flavour) to compare, is Tescos. Fry with a little butter and then rest the meat before eating it. SCRUMMY If it's a decent cut, fry over high heat, in a little oil & butter. Delicious. Cook slowly in some water, the slower you cook it, the more tender it is. When it breaks off the fork you know its cooked properly and it will melt in your mouth... I always like to marinate my steak overnight to make sure that its not dry, depending on the thickness I like to poke holes in it with a fork to ensure that the marinate goes everywhere, next day I usually pre heat the grill for about 5 minutes and spray with the non stick cooking spray so that it doesn't stick. I cook it for about 8 minutes on each side on Max flame. High heat. Very high heat. If using a pan on the stovetop, drop into the pan to sear, then flip and sear the other side. If on a grill, cook one side for about 7 minutes and then turn and do the other.
And remember.....turn only ONCE.
As a hint...spray or rub some olive oil on either side of the steak to avoid sticking to the grill or pan. First off your steak will cook much better near room temp, so let the steak sit out. Preheat your grill to the highest temperature it will reach. Next sear the steak to lock in the natural juices on the hot cooking grid about 1-2 min per side. If you want nice grill marks rotate (not flip) the steak 90 degrees during searing. Next turn the heat down to medium to cook the inside of the steak without burning the outside. I like mine medium rare which takes about 3-5 min (depending on thickness) per side after searing. Always let the steak "rest" off the grill for about 1 min before cutting to let the juices spread evenly throughout the meat. Enjoy! grill or barbecue. give the steak a slight battering with a rolling pin, spread a layer of butter over it season with black pepper, then put it under a grill basting it with the melted butter, when its too your taste fry some button mushrooms in the juices left at the bottom of the grill, serve with the mushrooms, jersey new potatoes(skins on)and garden peas ......handsome....
