I have a cooking question. Yes, again. LOL?
If a recipe calls for sweet milk, what is it asking for? I remember my grandmother calling regular milk sweet milk. But Mom says she thinks it's canned sweetened milk like EAGLE brand milk. I am confused. What do I use? It's not a desert item I'm wanting to cook.
Answers: The term "sweet milk" is used to differentiate it from "sour milk", a.k.a. butter milk.
In recipies that are using sweetened, condensed milk, the recipe will specify it in that manner. Sweet milk is regular milk. Sweet milk is regular milk. When chef's talk Sweet Milk = Regular Milk. :)
